Underwater archaeological research in a bed of the Ljubljanica river
14. 05. 2020 - 22. 05. 2020

Our objective during the spring underwater reasearch in the Ljubljanica River was to assess the archaeological potential in the vicinity of Livada. This particular stretch of the river has a significant pollution issue and has been extensively looted from an archaeological perspective. Despite these challenges, we were able to observe potential archaeological remains concealed beneath younger layers of embankment. This layers shields them from potential harm, which would otherwise result in their gradual deterioration and loss. Our objective during the spring underwater reasearch in the Ljubljanica River was to assess the archaeological potential in the vicinity of Livada.
